This is one of those days where you're so glad you're a parent of a teenager so that you can embarass them.
We are doing a unit study on Europe right now, and today's lesson was about Sweden. Calen was looking forward to this lesson all week so that he could show off his Lego koenigsegg, a Swedish sports car.
Since everything with him is about cars.
What I was looking to, however, was at the end of the lesson, when I announced as loudly and gleefully as possible at 9am: "ALEXA! Play ABBA."
Camden: "What?"
Calen: "What is an abba?"
And then Dancing Queen came on, blasting in her glorious 70s disco tech melody, with cringy melodies and even better lyrics.
Calen: "What is this?!?! Turn it off!!"
Camden: "Oh, it's not so bad." A few seconds later. "Yes it is. Can we play something else?"
And then I laughed and laughed.
