Day 344: You Rock At Two Rock

Back in October, Calen surprised us all and beat his own challenges at school (talking, goofing off, talking), and was awarded student of the month for 2nd grade. 

Calen is the easy pupil of the two of them. 

Camden is very much five. He is full of wiggly energy, and isn't necessarily excited about learning as much as he is playing, or rolling on the floor, or making faces at his teacher and friends. His teacher (who has a marvelous sense of humor) jokes that she "can always count on Camden for a laugh". 

So weren't we surprised when we got a phone call early this week from the school saying that Camden was student of the month for January!

Camden, right? Our kid? 

Brad and I ducked out of work early and snuck over to the school assembly where Bam had no idea he was about to get an award. When they called his name he had an enormous grin, but of course the true Cam came out and he shook the principal's hand purposefully hard to make a scene. As they called kids for each grade, Cam stood dead center, the tiniest in the line (even smaller than the preschoolers), but was stealing the show by dancing and ceremoniously losing his shoe. 

All in true Cam fashion. 

Great job Bam Bam. We are so proud of you.
