Since it's fall and most of the new Coast Guard families have settled in, the Boy Scout troop thought it would be a great idea to have an open house to encourage new kids to show up and join the troop.
Time for an open house! Except it's the campground. Open camp?
Something along those lines.
We showed up to the campground early and the boys started a fire for the big Open House-Camp.

The troop provided roasted hot dogs and s'mores for dinner and the adults hung around the fire and chatted while the kids went off on an epic capture the flag battle in the woods.
I think we picked up one or two more scouts, so that should be considered a success!
