Coast Guard Day of course is a big deal on base and in our family. Being that Brad is active duty, the Coast Guard has sent us on a lifetime of adventure. We have lived in 3 states (and visited dozens), spent a lot of time with Brad deployed out to sea, and had two children born on opposite coasts. Despite all our sacrifices, the lifestyle has been a good one for us. And so, when Coast Guard Day rolls around, we are ready to celebrate!

CG Day here on base rocks. There are huge bounce houses, climbing walls, laser tag and free burgers and hot dogs, just to name a few things.
We spent most of the day at the field behind our house celebrating. Calen summiting the climbing wall 4 times and both boys spent hours on the inflatables and playing laser tag. We even got to spend time with their baseball buddies Jack and Jamo!
It was stupid hot today (we can't escape the heat no matter where we are it seems), and Rebel greatly showed his displeasure of the heat. He was donated free (flavor free) snocones, several water bottles, and many shady spots. Still at one point he completely burrowed under one of the bounce houses and sprawled out to sleep.
