Day 51: Building Legos and Road Trips

The boys had to go back to school today and I had to finally tackle this outrageously filthy house. 

Barf. Can't we just go back to sandy beaches and Legoland and all that great vacation fun?

Lucky for the boys, neither had practice tonight, and there were unbuilt Lego sets to be built, so I sat in the living room with them and poured through the Milepost Alaska road trip planner/Google Maps trying to plan our drive to Alaska while the boys happily built and ran constant dialogue through me the whole time.

Also at dinner today, we played a game that the boys made up called "Rate how messy food is", or something like that. Basically we were trying to come up with the messiest food to eat possible. Ice cream came at #1. Spaghetti (with long noodles) a close second, lasagna third. In case you wanted to keep record of that.
