It's Day 1 of the State Tournament! We are excited! We are pumped up! The atmosphere was electric in the rink and the lockerroom.

The game did not go swimmingly for their first game, but that's not really why we are here. It's all about making memories for these kids. So we shook it off and headed to a team dinner at the hotel lobby with Costco pizza, snapchat and lots of laughs. After dinner we headed out to the Ice Park in Fairbanks, a basically "playground" all made out of ice, including slides, sculptures, houses and other fun things. We stayed until sunset, where the ice light up with colorful lights. The team had a BLAST, and that's what the state tournament is all about.
