Our neighborhood is fantastic.
Up the hill, someone owns a giant (and I mean, a giant) slip n slide. It's brought out occassionally, used by several neighbors' garden hoses and sprinklers. They post it on social media and invites all of the neighborhood AND the other base housing neighborhood kids.
Cost of admission? A bottle of dish soap.
To make it more slippery, of course.
Two of Cam's best buddies live in a different base neighborhood, and since this big shindig was starting at 4pm, I invited their families over to our house to grill burgers and sit on the back porch to watch the Great Slip N Slide show, which is not even 100 yards from my back yard.
It was a great evening of friends, food and dish soap.
