First of all, we got the all clear to crank on all of our Christmas lights outside!
So far the generator hasn't blown up. So I think we're in the clear.
Anyways, it was gross and stormy tonight, and for whatever reason Calen and I were feeling a little under the weather. So, we did a quick-ish craft and watched Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas and called it a night.
As for the craft, this was a fairly simple Pinterest one that took about half an hour and required stuff we already had. Because I'm all about simple and someone else thinking it up for me.
You need:
Paper plates (white)
red paint
yellowish/tanish/peach-ish crayon (or paint, if you have it. Who the hell has peach paint??)
cotton balls
Elmer's glue.
White and red paper
First, the kids painted the top third of their plates red (for the hat). Then colored the rest with a "peach" crayon. Glue on a red paper nose, and eyeballs (drawn with black marker on white paper), and cotton balls, and you're done done and done.
Super adorable keepsake and the kids loved making them.
