Once upon a time in like September, we somehow won a bunch of free tickets to the local ice skating rink (in a raffle I completely forget ever entering in...but okay!). We decided to hold off until Christmas season to cash them in, because Christmas and ice skating, obviously!
Even though I had woken up with some sort of fatal sore throat disease, I mustered up the energy to put on a bra and some mittens and we had family fun day at the local ice skating rink.
Fun fact: the local ice skating rink (Snoopy's Home Ice) is actually attached to the Charles Schulz Museum, located in the city where Charles Schulz himself started his own studio and wrote the Peanuts comics). We haven't explored the museum yet, but love the skating rink!
We came here over the summer while Brad was out of town, and discovered that Camden was a natural at ice skating. This time, Brad could join us, Calen really caught on to it and hardly fell at all and didn't need to hang on the wall once. They put a Christmas tree in the middle of the rink and the walls above the rink were lined with Christmas lights. We took an intermission to get hot chocolate at the Snoopy Cafe, and then we all went right back out in it.
Super fun day out.
