Day 319: The World Under Ice

We drove home to California today. And that's literally all we did today.

And unfortunately we drove through a major ice storm in Oregon. The drive was a lot sketchier than we expected, and was more like extreme vehicle bobsled ice skating on a major freeway.

At one point we stopped to pee (and ice skate to the bathroom), and realized that our entire rooftop carrier was encased in a sheet of ice.

Because that's safe.

We made it home safely with only a few sideways triple axels on the freeway.

First thing on the menu was to get rid of that God forsaken overdead Christmas tree that stopped drinking water the first week of December.

And so here's what remains of our Christmas.

The sad shattered remains of our major award.
