Antarctic Cold Snap

The whole country, it seems, is completely under 400 feet of snow.

Except at my house, because it's California, and California is stupid.

For Christmas this year, the boys got the entire collection of Lego City: Arctic Exploration and I felt like all these super cool arctic Lego sets needed some snow to play in. And since we are completely and totally jealous of the snow in literally other state but ours, I went to my old standby: Amazon Prime, and bought some snow.

Because of course you can buy snow on Amazon.

Disclaimer: okay fine, it's fake snow. But it's cold and it's fluffy and it doesn't cost a tank of gas and a 4 hour drive to the real stuff.

So we made some fake snow and brought all the arctic Lego sets into it and had a couple hour snow-sesh. A woolly mammoth was released into the wild, and was then recaptured to pull a road-building sled, a photographer got a little too close to some saber tooth tigers, and a man was rescued out of an ice block by a helicopter. You know, standard daily life in Antarctica.

$4.88 for a can of fake snow delivered to my door well spent.
