Day 262: Disney World Day 4

We took a much needed break from the parks today. We (almost) slept in and had breakfast inside our hotel room, then packed up and said goodbye to Shades of Green, and took the monorail and a bus to our next resort that we decided to splurge on, Art of Animation.

Art of Animation is an amazing Disney resort. It's theme is (obviously) the artwork that goes into animating a film, and has an entirely themed hotel wing for four different films: Cars, Finding Nemo, Little Mermaid and The Lion King. We got a suite for 3 nights at the Cars wing, which is completely built like you're staying at Radiator Springs. The room features toolbox dressers and construction cone lamps and the Cars characters in front of each building. It even has Cozy Cone cabanas at the poolside.

The lobby(!!)
Our living room (1 bedroom, two bath suite that sleeps 5. There's a bedroom, and this sofa turns into a bed, and the table turns into a bed too)
The table that folds down into itself to turn into...
A bed!

Once we checked in and explored the Cars wing, we went over to the gigantic Finding Nemo pool and swam ALL DAY in it. The pool is incredible with huge jelly fish statues and a coral reef splash pad, and the surrounding buildings are painted as if we were under the sea. But the best part of the pool is the underwater speakers playing music and, occasionally, you'll hear the voices of Dory and Marlin under the water.

That night we had dinner inside the resort's large quick service restaurant and then went and explored all the other themed wings of the resort before heading back into our room for bed.

The Little Mermaid wing. It's a snarfblat

Because we never lose teeth normally in this house, Cam decided it was a good day to YANK his tooth out on his own. And because it was Disney, it had to be extra special. So we had to make some quick maneuvers for the tooth fairy to show up at our resort. And of course the closest (and most famous) fairy that lives in Disney is Tinkerbell. So we made sure Tink showed up at the hotel that night.
