Ladies and gentlemen I'm here to announce that it has reached seventy degrees here in Kodiak, Alaska.
The coldest, wettest summer on record finally has an actual summer day.
We abandoned all plans (not that we had any), packed our bags and spent the entire day at the beach.
I mean, we only get 4 or 5 beach days a year, we have to take advantage of them!
The water pools in the low tide area was shockingly warm, and the boys and their friends spent almost the whole afternoon wading in the pools and building an epic fortress, while I sat and did spectacularly nothing.
We all needed a summer day like this!
