Day 184: Why Did It Have To Be Snakes

We kept it low key today, as everyone is tired, cranky and needs a quiet, video game-filled day.

But that didn't stop us from stopping what we were doing and having family game night. I pulled out a new game, but didn't have the mental energy to learn a new game, because life, man. We played 5-Minute Dungeon, because it's quick and we already know how to play and it's a really fun coop game.

Since the game was short and we got done relatively quickly, we had time to pop some popcorn and have a family movie night as well. It's the summer of new movies since the boys are getting older and we are introducing them to super rad and before now - either too scary or wildly innappropriate for obnoxious boys that like to copy everything they hear on TV - but are now just on the cusp of PG-13 movies.

Yeah, I know, I know. The oldest is 14 and by then I had already watched Misery and other horrific rated R movies. But listen - What. Is. The. Rush.

Come back next week for my Ted Talk.

Today's movie! Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Last Ark. Which really isn't that innappropriate at all, but there's some sketch moments like where the face melts off the bad guy that might freak a younger Hansen boy out.

Immediately they both shouted that Indiana Jones is played by "Han Solo", because Harrison Ford might as well legally change his name to Han Solo.

I think it went over well? They seemed to like it, which is good because there's like 18 more of them INCLUDING a new one that was released this summer that even has Han Solo...I mean Harrison Ford....starring, at 80 years young.

But why did it have to be snakes.
