Day 10: On Thin Ice

One of our favorite traditions each December is to take the kids ice skating at Snoopy's Home Ice (attached to the Charles Schwarz museum in Santa Rosa, which by the way survived the fires). We go ice skating all year round usually, but December is the best because there's a humongous Christmas tree on the ice, extra decorations and that sort.

Camden of course insisted on wearing full hockey gear, because obviously. That kid needs to get back out on the ice playing hockey soon. Also it's nice for him because he has his own personal hockey skates from home that fit him perfectly. Calen tried hockey skates instead of figure skates to rent this time and found that they are a lot more comfortable, even though they make you fall easier because there's no brake.

A nice picture of the two of them before Cam changed into his much needed hockey gear

And for an extra bonus, Snoopy dressed up as Santa arrived to take pictures with the kids!

We lasted the full 3 hours of public skate, and went home tired and sore but had such a great time.
