Day 14: Shopping For Dad

I had some things planned today, but it didn't really work out that way.

Isn't that basically life in one single sentence?

When the kids came home from school, I announced we were going to Costco (or the "Hot Dog Store", as it's been called by my kids since Calen named it that when he was 3) for dinner, because I'm over cooking this week. Brad had a migraine so it was just going to be the boys and I, which is good, because we can punch out Christmas shopping for Dad!

Pizza as big as their face!!
Before we went shopping, Camden came downstairs in his favorite Christmas sweater (that he wore to school) and his "fancy hat", announcing he was wearing it to do errands.

So we went to Costco, ate pizza for dinner, and did a little shopping. The boys found their gifts to Dad there which was super convenient and I must say, they chose well.

We also ran to Target, because you always have to go to Target, and found fuzzy mug ornaments to "drink their coffee" out of when actually it was filled with pretend cocoa.

Then we came home and listened to Mannheim Steamroller Christmas albums and wrapped Dad's gifts. The boys never really ACTUALLY wrap, usually they just watch. But this year they cut and folded and taped themselves, and fought over what bow to put on and who was going to write on the tag, because that's real life.

10 days until Christmas!!!
