Bike Wars

First of all, we got Calen enrolled in preschool today! Which is actually a pretty big deal since the particular preschool we wanted to enroll him in only has twenty openings, so it's a miracle that we actually got in. I'm sure they were actually full but the receptionist just couldn't resist my sweet West Coast accent.

Or something.

So we're trying to teach Calen how to ride a bicycle. Not like balance on two wheels or anything, just trying to teach him how to ride in a straight line and pedal. Which should be easy cheesy Japanesy but clearly it's not or maybe Calen has a bicycle impairment, I'm not sure. He'll push down on one pedal and move a little bit. But he won't continue pedaling. But today, he pedaled three times in a row before he stopped. My neighborhood probably thinks I'm some sort of nutcase standing in our parking lot yelling "Go Calen Go Calen GO CALEN!! DON'T STOP PEDALING!!"

Unfortunately he didn't repeat his award winning performance. However, it's still a small victory in this apparently huge bicycle riding battle.

P.S. Is that not the COOLEST Spiderman bike you've ever seen? His seat is a Spiderman face too and do notice the Spidey heads on the training wheels. How could I say no when Calen begged for this all-that-is-awesome bike. 


P.P.S. In other news, Jersey apparently discovered Calen's underwear drawer as the most comfortable sleeping area in the entire house. So there she slept. All day. On a soft, fluffy bed of Lego Star Wars underwear.
