Gravediggers

I'm pretty sure if you stay in North Carolina any longer than 24 hours you start picking up a southern drawl.

It also could be because we're staying with our Texas friends. Things that make you go "hmmmm."

I'll go into depth of our Carolina trip tomorrow when we're back home and done with this little vacation. But as a teaser you do get to hear about the big to-do of the day.

Maybe half an hour away from our friends' house is the home of the world famous monster truck Gravedigger. Which, of course, Calen and his Carolina buddy Mason are mildly obsessed with. Mildly.

Mildly as in driving up and seeing the big purple and green monster trucks outside and they're screaming with joy.

So we spent a good few hours checking out Gravedigger's home. Including a ton of monster trucks (Gravedigger of course, but also Son-Ofa-Digger, Monster Mutt, and all the old Gravediggers -- sad that I know all of these trucks. Does that make me a redneck?) Calen even got to ride a monster truck and meet Dennis Anderson (the owner/driver of Gravedigger) and get an autograph and a few horrifyingly overpriced but totally awesome souvenirs. Pretty big day for my little gearhead.

Calen, Mason and one of many of the Gravedigger trucks on display
