Heat Exhaustion (Or Lack Therof)

It was another horribly HOT day out (topped out at 94 degrees and the humidity was out of control). I would have been perfectly content staying indoors in the air conditioning all day. But Calen begged to go outside and swim in the pool, as he has been doing every day for like, two weeks now? We live such wild lives. And how can I say no to a boy that wants to be outside? It's good for them to be outside, right? Even if it's so hot it'll melt their brains? 

So once again we spent like four hours in our plastic pool. Some friends joined us today too, and Calen and his little friend Allison spent like TWO HOURS leaping off a stepping stool into the pool. 

Bedtime couldn't have been easier tonight. 

Leaping into the pool. Over. And over. And over.
