Back to the Motherland

Today was our first full day in the Motherland (and I'm not talking about Russia. The real motherland, Northwest style). After like 14 hours of sleep and not getting up with the boys (God bless grandparents - in home service!), I think we're finally caught up with sleep.

Washington welcomed us in the true Washington way: cold, wet, and gloomy. In June. Pretty typical. It's pretty sad when packing for this June adventure I had to pack rain boots and slicker jackets. And apparently the wretched New Jersey air has gotten into my blood, because I was really cold. Stupid Northwest weather. (though, in it's defense, this year has been unseasonably cold).

We didn't do anything super exciting today, except shopping, which, unlike our New Jersey counterpart, is not an all day drive to get to the nearest shopping center. It's more like running errands. But more fun, because it's errands for clothes.

Calen and Camden both are obsessed with Papa's truck. Of course who doesn't appreciate a big fully loaded Ford F-150? Cam especially thought the bed of the truck was a glorified humongous playpen on wheels. Anything that Cam thinks is cool that also doubles as a sort of baby container is totally Mom-Approved.
